Engagement Session on Krk Island, Croatia
Today I’m sharing an engagement session story from Krk Island, Croatia, photographed at Plav beach.
I met Marita and Mišo back in high school while I was working on the coast. Even then, everyone somehow already knew they would end up together. We stayed in touch over the years, and this summer we randomly ended up on Krk at the same time.
One morning we were out on a boat when Mišo told me he planned to propose to Marita and asked me to pick up flowers. She was standing right next to us, so I had to act completely normal.
After we got back, I helped him set everything up for the proposal. I didn’t have my camera with me, so I secretly filmed the moment on my phone from behind. After she said yes, Marita asked me to be her maid of honour, which made the whole moment even more special.
We later decided to do a proper engagement session to document their story.
We went to Plav beach near their camp. I’m often on Krk, so I know the island well and how the evening light works, which helped us choose the timing and location.
We photographed just before sunset, when the light becomes soft and warm. Plav is a great spot because it has a small forest area with rocks and the sea just a few steps away, so it feels like two locations in one.
Here are some frames from their session.
